Windows protected print mode compatibility

Hello,

since windows is publishing its windows protected print mode and gets rid of the usage of third party drivers in general i wanted to ask about the compatibility with pdf24.

A short introduction: Since the old printing system is vulnerable by design, microsoft introduces a new system that prints over IPP exclusively. Devices that are not compatible with this kind of printing, are not supported any longer and cannot be used. With the initial setup of WPP, all devices that are not compatible will get removed automatically.

To be compatible with IPP you need the devices to be mopira certified afaik. When i setup the WPP (Windows protected print mode) on my pc, PDF24 gets removed (apparently its not supported / certified by Mopria i guess)

My question would be: Since this will be the (at least neigh) future of all printing (at least in business context bc of the security aspect), will PDF24 will be compatible in the future so it can be used while in WPP mode?
