I've been using PDF Creator (version 11.28.2) for a while now as it's much faster than the Adobe Reader bloatware, but I've noticed that whenever I print a document from it the margins are more than 0.5 cm wider than expected making the document image smaller.

I created a PDF file on A4 with a black border right on the page edge and tried printing it: sure enough, there's a white margin around the black border when printed from PDF Creator; when the same file is printed to the same printer using Google Chrome, however, there is no black border at all as expected (because it's outside the printable area of the printer and gets chopped off).

Is it possible that PDF Creator is automatically resizing the printed pages to fit within the selected printer's margins? If so, I wish it wouldn't do it: if I want to shrink the pages to fit, then I'll ask my printer dialog box to do it!

Note: in the tests above, no 'shrink to fit' or other resizing was selected in the printer dialog. My printer is an HP Laserjet 1020. I would have attached the PDF file except this Help Center appears to allow only picture files to be uploaded - duh!
