    I am running the latest version of PDF24 Creator 8.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro x64 1803

    When you save or merge PDF documents with Acrobat Reader DC shapes and comments on them (e.g. arrows, rectangles, etc..), PDF24 doesn't keep them editable: when you open them again with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the objects are there, but you cannot select them anymore to change color, shape, etc.

    I tried different output PDF versions (1.5, 1.6, etc) with or without ticking "Preserve Annotations" setting - always same problem.

    I belive this is a fundamental feature, since it is not uncommon to edit comments, shapes, etc. after merging a document.
