It seems to be that word adds the suffix when printing a document. PDF24 tries to find out the document name and what the PDF Creator see is was given through the printer system in windows.
Well i'll put it on TODO and maybe i'll have a solution for the next version.
What other pages do you mean? What are static pages in wordpress?

Oh yes, that's really a problem. We use a Thawte certificate to sign the printer driver. Maybe that's the problem. Could is be that microsoft only trusts certificates from special CA's?
I'll check the install process, maybe there is a special flag in install command.

i have tested the setup on windows 7 and windows xp. Everything works fine on my pc's!
Currently this can't be deactivated. If you manually stop the background process than PDF creation will not work. The background process is a required component to create PDF files via the PDF24 PDF printer.
It seams to be that the old version of your PDF24 Creator could not be uninstalled correctly. Version 2.6.3 of PDF24 Creator don't have a PDFBackend.exe anymore. The installer of version 2.6.3 normally uninstalls an old version correctly. Try to uninstall all version of pdf24 creator and than install the latest one. Hope this works.
just open the document and print it on PDF24. Thats it.

StefanHi, thanks for the info. There is no limitation. Maybe you have a special PDF which isn't interpretet correctly by PDF24 Creator. Most PDF documents should work, but there are problems with some special PDF.
I would be very pleased if you could send me that PDF which cause problems. Please send the document(s) to support@pdf24.org. Then i can look into the program whether there is an bug or not.
Please also check whether you have the latest version because we fix errors with every new version.
If you have problems with merger of the PDF24 Creator, then you can also switch to our online PDF merger. This one uses an other software and it's sometimes worth to give it a try.

we have tested the new Version 2.6.2 on a Citrix terminal server. This version works! There were some problem in older versions when using on a terminal server.
That's an good argument. We will discuss that.
This is for security reason. If we find a bug or some other problems with security risk in the software, we can update and remove the bugs.
See it as a nice feature. There are a lot of people who don't know much about software. They only want a program that works. By removing bugs with the update feature we can repair buggy programs.

the latest wordpress pdf plugin offers this feature. There are a lot of settings in the options of the pdf24 plugin you can change in wordpress admin area.Also the email text.
I have teste the plugin with wordpress 2.7.1 and the plugin works fine. I don't get your error message.
The plugin works. We self use the plugin in our blog. The plugin works fine in a lot of blogs.
wp-admin/pdf24.php tells me that there is a wrong path. I will check this for wordpress 2.7.
The merge function only works for whole documents. Select some documents so that there are red bordered, click merge and the software merges the selected files. The selected pages in documents were ignored.
To select some pages from one document and some of another document you have to create a blank document first. Then drag pages from one document and drop them to the blank document. Save this document

No, you can't disable update checking.
If you have a tool that can open and print docx files, than you can use the pdf24-creator to create a pdf. Just print the document on the special printer named pdf24.

Normally the colors should be ok.
What you can try is:
- installing another postscript (PS) printer
- check the image color management (ICM) in the printer settings (click here on extra) of the printer dialog. ICM should have the option ICM disabled.1. Locate to Start->System Control-> Printer and Fax
2. Click on 'Add Printer' and than on Continue
4. Mark 'Local Printer, wich is connected to the computer'. Unmark all other checkboxes. Than click continue.
5. Mark 'Use following connection' and check, whether this entry exists: '\\.\pipe\PDFPrint'. Is this entry existent, choose this entry and click continue. Is this entry non-existent, check the box 'Create a new connection' and select 'Local Port'. Click the continue button. Insert '\\.\pipe\PDFPrint' and click 'OK'
6. Choose the manufacturer 'Apple' and 'Apple Color LaserWriter 12/600'. Click continue.
7. Choose in the next dialog 'Maintain driver' and click Continue.
8. Rename the printer name 'Apple Color LaserWriter 12/600' to 'pdf24' and click continue. (Important)
9. Click continue in the next dialog and finally on Finish.

It is possible that the printer driver which should be installed by the pdf24-creator setup couldn't be installed on your pc. But you can install a suitable printer driver manually.

we have improved the pdf creation service and the plugin service on our server.
Relative pictures should be displayed correctly now.
The new service ist more stable and a little bit faster. The pdf file names in emails have been changed from the name blog.pdf to Your_Blog_Name.pdf.Hello, currently this is not possible. I don't know yet whether we change it in future or not. Maybe we will change this.
