Stefan ZieglerKeymaster
This is on the roadmap, but currently we haven't finished a component that can do that. As soon as we have one, we'll add it the our editor.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe toolbox is build on top of webview2. If there is no webview2 (installed with pdf24 or evergreen provided by windows), then the toolbox will not work.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWe work on a solution to provide a portable version with reduced function set because not all features are possible here.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, what do you mean by "But if I select only part of the pages"?
Do you mean our online PDF merger? Please send me test files and screenshots to forum@pdf24.org, then I can investigate further and I can add improvements.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, yes, there is a command line option now to do this. The latest installers provide such a flag:
EXE:
pdf24-creator.exe /COMPONENTS=!webview2MSI:
msiexec /i pdf24-creator.msi REMOVE=WebView2
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSimply use the DOWNLOAD Button.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, currently there is no flag to do that. I also would not recommend that because the PDF printer is used internally to convert files to PDF and removing/not installing the printer would mean that these functions will no longer work.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCreate different PDFs and then use the merge tool to add/merge/insert the pages of the documents. Merging does not change contents of pages.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterTo hide the tile in the toolbox, you have to add the following DWORD value to HKLM\SOFTWARE\PDF24 or HKCU\SOFTWARE\PDF24:
feature.toolbox.openOnlinePdfTools = 0
2023-01-03 at 09:39 in reply to: PDF24 Reader, open file won't become active window. It stays on background #63034Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI looked in the code and expanded the appropriate area so that PDF24 Reader is brought to the front whenever a new file is opened in Reader. Next version of the software brings this optimization.
2023-01-03 at 08:07 in reply to: PDF24 Reader, open file won't become active window. It stays on background #63033Stefan ZieglerKeymasterDoes this happen when you open the first file or when you open the second, third, ... ?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWhat do you mean by this? Please send test files, screenshots and short instructions to forum@pdf24.org so that we can check this.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCan you send me some screenshots to forum@pdf24.org so that I can see the problem?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe -deleteFiles flag can be used only if the files are temporary. Other files must be deleted by the user himself after the command by another command.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, currently this is not possible. I've put this on TODO so that we will brings that in one of the next versions.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYes, we use Windows 10 and we also test under Windows 11.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI'm still trying to reproduce this.
- I have a test folder and I copy/paste two PDFs into that folder.
- Then I select both PDFs in that folder, right-click one file and click PDF24 to open the file tools.
- Then I click the Join function and in the output profile selection window I choose the just assemble profile to simply join both files.
- Then I save the new PDF into another folder.
- After that, I rename the test folder and that works for me. No error message pops up and the folder is renamed.
Do you do something different?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI'm wondering why the background process is getting the files since the files are PDFs and don't need to be converted. Hmm. Is there a reason why do you use an older PDF24 version and not the current one?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI was just trying to figure it out. But I didn't succeed. Can you tell me which PDF24 process is blocking the files?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send screenshots to forum@pdf24.org so that we can see what you mean.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterInstall the latest PDF24 Creator. Start the toolbox with the new desktop icon. Then click the Edit PDF tool.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIn Toolbox of PDF24 Creator all available system fonts can be used in the watermark, page numbers, edit and annotate tool.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe new PDF24 Creator brings improvements regarding fonts. There is a new font selector. You can now select from installed systems fonts.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterGood to know. Actually I thought that the installer takes care of that and detects an older installation. I'll check that.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, please switch to PDF24 Creator 11.5.0. The new version brings better font support and you can now choose one of the installed systems fonts. Now you can choose the font that supports your text.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease use the new PDF24 Creator 11.5.0. We have added font support to this version. You can now select all available system fonts. Just choose a font that supports Russian text.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease use the latest version 11.5.0. There support for Chinese is available. Simply choose a font, that supports Chinese. This is new in Version 11.5.0. We greatly improved font support in this version. Also the edit tool in the toolbox now supports all available system fonts.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send a test file to forum@pdf24.org so that we can investigate here.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, *.pdf is not supported by PDF24. You could use this:
"C:\Program Files\PDF24\pdf24-DocTool.exe" -join -sort -profile none -expandDirs -outputFile "C:\Users\Valter\Desktop\docto\PDF1\binder.pdf" "C:\Users\Valter\Desktop\docto\PDF0"
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIf a current version is installed, then you can disable the autostart. How to do that is described here:
