Hi,
Does the PDF24 roadmap development includes a feature to allow an easy way, like a button on the main screen, to sign pdf files with a digital signature from several different keystore types like a citizen card reader or token and with these simple steps:
- select visible or invisible signature;
- draw the signature area;
- display activate certificates to select from;
- apply certificate (also ask for security pin if that's the case);
- if successfull ask to save new filename suffix, like "-signed"
Should have this features:
- timestamps from authority in signature (TSA)
- certificate validation through CRL and/or OCSP
Best regards
Hello,
This is a question I asked recently, but not with all of all MVitorino's suggestions. I'm also eagerly awaiting it!
And thank you again for this magnificent work, Stefan!
Signing PDF fiels with a certificate is possible via the profiles section, there are options where you can also select a certificate. Such a signature just digitally sings but does not add a visual representation of the signature to the document. If you need this often, just add a custom profile with that certificate and later of you can just apply that profile to files.
Is this feature now available ?
When I use a certificat on the profil (and check "use a signature"), and if I open the pdf on Acrobat Reader DC, the signature is not validate. error : "The time of signature is determined based on the time on the signer's computer."
I think the date/time may be on UTC time
Best regards
We already have tasks on our list to improve the signing process. I've also added this question to the list so that your points flow in. At the moment I can't say when all these tasks will be implemented. It's too soon for that. We have a lot of points on our list and we try to make the PDF24 Creator really really cool and signing is one of the features we like.
