we use a CMS integrated with MS Office that has a file preview function, however the preview function for PDFs will only work with the 11.8.0 version of PDF24, any subsequent version causes MS Office (Word & Outlook) to crash completely when a PDF is selected for Preview. I have been keen to update to the latest version for some time but this issue has always prevented us from doing so, I wondered if anyone had any insight into this issue. We use 32-bit version of office and CMS, I have tried both 32 & 64 bit versions of PDF24 but the issue is consistent across both. Any help would be much appreciated

sorry for the late answer. Since version 11.9.0, PDF24 has its own preview handler for 32-bit programs. On 64-bit Windows it was registered with a wrong entry for the separate preview process, so 32-bit programs such as 32-bit Office could not load it there. This is corrected since version 11.31.0, together with other improvements of the preview handler (the preview no longer blocks while loading). This may well be the cause of the crashes you see with versions after 11.8.0.
Please update PDF24 to the current version and test the preview in your CMS again.
If Word or Outlook still crash, please tell us the name of your CMS and your Office version. The crash entry from the Windows Event Viewer (Windows Logs > Application, entry "Application Error") would also help. You can send it to us with this button:
