"Create Fillable Form" - Default Values not Shown

Hello!

I've created a form where some of the fields should show representative text; I'm using the Default Value feature since that's what I expect it's for. However, the default values are not displayed in the generated form. Is this a bug or am I either misunderstanding the purpose of "default value" or just doing something wrong?
