PDF24 is a great powerfull tool, the only issue is that it require admin rights on every update, is there an option to get automatic update on user session that it could be set once for all with admin rights and never ask again for it?
It work on every security software, i guess it must be possible.
We currently deploy pdf24 as a windows store app so updates should be distributed from the store but automatic updates with a normal user should be possible too!
Currently, PDF24 requires admin rights for updates because it modifies system files and registry entries, which standard user accounts cannot change. There isn’t a built-in way to bypass this permanently for a standard user session. A common workaround is to install PDF24 under an admin account and configure Scheduled Tasks to run updates with elevated privileges automatically, or use group policy / software deployment tools in enterprise environments to push updates without prompting users. This ensures updates occur without needing user intervention.
