Love this program but can't upgrade. Whenever I download the upgrade I get a message to close existing running version of PDF24 - message produced even when pdf24 isn't running. Have tried uninstalling existing version, but when attempting the uninstall I get the same message, also preventing that uninstall.
Existing Program seems to work OK, except it always produces the upgrade message first on opening (or printing to pdf). That message then needs to be closed before proceeding to use the existing program version.
Maybe the PDF24 Windows Service that blocks. Try to stop this service with the Windows services UI. Or enter the task manager and kill all pdf24 processes.
Not sure how to reply to your answer, stefan 614. But thanks for your very prompt answer. Using the uninstall (windows 7),I used the task manager to kill the relevant processes. That worked a treat. Old version uninstalled and version 9 now successfully installed. Thanks again. Nick Scott.
