Hello 👋
Intending to fill out an application form that requires the ticking of boxes (checkmarks) and typed words.
Of all the categories in the Toolbox that seem to be relevant, I've tried "Edit PDF" and "Annotate PDF"...
The "Shapes" sections don't have checkmarks - is it possible to find them in other categories or through plug-ins? If so, please clarify how.
For adding text, it's necessary to type words, then adjust the size, then drag that text and line it up to the rectangular fields and repeat the process for each field...
- Wondering if there's a way to simply click in the rectangular field and start typing, in which the font/size is uniform for each field, similar to the way form filling is done in Google Drive or Adobe?
Is this also possible via a plugin?

no plug-in is needed for this. The best way depends on whether your form has fillable fields:
The form has fillable fields: Open it in the PDF24 Reader (part of PDF24 Creator), click into a field and type; click a check box to tick it. The font and size come from the field, so all entries look the same. This also works online: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/fill-out-pdf
The form has no fields (a flat or scanned form):
- Online, "Fill out PDF" opens such a file directly in Insert mode. Use Insert text for the text and Stamp > Symbols > Check mark for the ticks: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/fill-out-pdf
- In the PDF24 Reader, right-click where the tick should go, choose Insert stamp, then the category Symbols and Check mark.
- If you fill out the same form more often, you can make it fillable once: draw a text field over each box and a check box where a tick is needed, then fill it in as described above. In the PDF24 Toolbox this is Create fillable PDF form (since version 11.30.0, current version: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/creator), online: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/make-pdf-fillable
That the text tool keeps the last font and size for the next text is on our to-do list.
Hello, a correction: Insert stamp is not available in the current version of PDF24 Reader yet, sorry. For check marks on a form without fields, please use the online tool (Stamp > Symbols > Check mark): https://tools.pdf24.org/en/fill-out-pdf
