How did you configure the PDF printer. Normally, when you print on the PDF printer, the PDF24 assistant opens and there you have a button to save as PDF. If you have selected a standard output profile via the selection box at the top of the app, then no format properties dialog pops up. The PDF is saved to disk and the save operation applies the profile options.
If you have selected the custom profile and if you click the save button, then the format options dialog is shown where you can change all the options.
You can also change the PDF printer settings in the settings area and there you have options for saving automatically. If a PDF printer is configured to save automatically, then no user interaction is is required at all.
