When PDF24 is the default app for pdf files and when forwarding an email with a pdf attachment that requires a signature, the save defaults to the user's documents folder. Please consider changing this so PDF24 saves the file to the location where the file originated, in this case, C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Outlook\B9PL7YWT. The reason this is important to us is because it makes document signing faster and easier. Our doctors sign electronic documents and the process must be quick and easy.

Following is the workflow when Adobe is the default app.

    1. Email with attachment is received.
    2. User clicks "Forward".
    3. Enters destination email address.
    4. Double clicks pdf file.
    5. Tools > Fill & Sign
    6. Sign > Saves > Closes File
    7. Presses send > Done

Hello and thank you for PDF24...

We are hoping to use PDF24 but now we have the same problem.

We hope that soon it will be possible to quickly sign, save and overwrite a PDF file in its original location.

    Hello,

sorry for the late reply. Today PDF24 opens PDF files in the PDF24 Reader. Signing directly in the Reader is not available yet: This function is in the works for PDF24 Reader and will be released with one of the upcoming versions.

Until then you can sign a PDF with the tool Sign PDF of the PDF24 Toolbox, or online: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/sign-pdf

Both save the signed PDF as a new file, which then has to be attached to the e-mail. Saving it back into the opened Outlook attachment in one step, as in your workflow (sign, save, close, send), is not possible yet. Thank you for the suggestion, we will add it to our list.
