- You can only insert square images
- The text doesn’t appear correctly; you have to hold down the left mouse button and type
- When you open a PDF, it asks you to add a signature, but who said I’m opening it for that reason?
2026-10-29 at 18:01 #64704PDF24 SupportModeratorHello,
on 28 October we replaced the online editor with a new one. The old editor is no longer available. Thank you for your feedback, we have already fixed some things since then:
- Text: a single click on the page now places the text box, and you can type right away without holding the mouse button. This was an error in the new editor and has been fixed since 29 October. You can also choose the color and font size before typing. Please reload the page so that you get the current version. If it still does not work after reloading, please let us know.
- Images: an image is inserted with its own proportions, and when you drag a corner, the proportions stay the same. If an image still comes out square, please send it to us at forum@pdf24.org
- Signature: the signature dialog opens automatically only in "Sign PDF", because that tool is meant for signing. You can close it with the ✕. To add text and images without a signature, please use "Edit PDF": https://tools.pdf24.org/en/edit-pdf
If something else is missing or does not work as before, please tell us what exactly.
2026-10-30 at 08:33 #64821PDF24 SupportModeratorHello, a short update: adding images in the online PDF editor is fixed now (online since 30.10.2026).
- A click on Image opens the file selection right away.
- The image is placed in the middle of the visible part of the current page, is selected and can be moved and resized with the corner handles.
- All common image formats can be selected, not only PNG and JPEG.
- An image dropped onto a page can be inserted directly on that page.
2026-10-30 at 22:34 #65511PDF24 SupportModeratorHello,
a short update on signing: on Sign PDF the signature dialog no longer opens by itself. The PDF is shown first, and you add a signature when you want with the button Insert signature in the toolbar, or by right-clicking the page and choosing Sign here (the signature is then placed at that spot). This is online since 30.10.2026: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/sign-pdf
The PDF24 Toolbox gets this with its next version.
