Just installed 8.4.0
Seems that transparency issue mentioned in thread from 2010 is still present? Are there plans on improving?

Seems that transparent images are still not supported. I my case I have monocrome raster which is either black or transparent. But transparency is misread as white whereby my background object disappears.
