Error message: could not create temporary file

[PDF24]

What causes this error and how can I solve the problem?

I have used PDF24 Creator version 6.2.0 for a few weeks now and it worked perfectly. But suddenly it fails to convert Word documents into pdf. It gives an error message: could not create temporary file. Im using Windows 7 and Word 2010.

Seems that the PDF24 can't create temporary files.

This worked for my system Win 7 HP SP1 64bit.
Try to delete all folders and files in the folder TEMP. To do this run %TEMP% from the menu start and delete the content of the folder.

May be errors occur due to permissions on some files if this happen you have to change manually permissions in the properties of the file.

Even if the file already exists, PDF24 always creates a folder in %temp%. Is there a way to disable this or change the path to this temporary folder?

we have answered this in the other topic: https://help.pdf24.org/en/?p=811 In short: the folder cannot be switched off, and PDF24 uses the Windows temporary folder of your user account. With the next version, PDF24 also cleans up %TEMP%\PDF24 and deletes leftovers older than 2 days.
