Help with default page size when printing mails or webpages

In configuration->printers I set the default printer option to rint to A4 (in the advanced screen)

But, when I print a mail (from outlook) or a webpage from IE it has the page size set to Postscript by default. I have to manually set it to A4.
(when printing with the postscript setting it makes a very narrow page)

How do I set the pagesize to A4 by default??

Normally A4 is the default paper size. Applications can choose the paper size which this printer provides. This can be the postscript format too.

Maybe there is an option in your application where you can choose the default paper size.

Hmmm, maybe I should rephrase then: how does one make outlook 2010 and IE print to A4 by default?
