    Hello,

we are using PDF24 in our company's network.

Since we need to create PDF/A on a regular basis (according to Italian laws they're the only valid ones for archiving purposes), is it possible to change the default profile in order to have this type of files created without user interaction (our workers omit to choose that option too frequently)?

It would be better if this could be done with a parameter in the MSI command line, or by changing a file and/or adding/modifying a registry key shortly after the installation procedure: this could help us to deploy this change rapidly.

    Thanks in advance for replying...

You could create a profile for PDF/A and then you can use that profile in the apps.

Ok. But how can I set this profile as "default" for all users, after having it created someway?

The app itself automatically selects the last used profile on next application start. There is no option to force a specific profile.

You could consider the auto save mode to save files automatically. There you can set a profile which is used in the saving process.

This could be enough for (most of...) our users.

Just another question: I noticed the profiles are saved in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key, so they are related to a single user.

Since we install PDF24 silently (we use WPKG, with some adaptation from this approach) we don't know what is the dominant PC user. Aren't those keys installable system-wide (such in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or similar)?

Profiles currently can't be stored in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE space. This feature is still on our TODO. Currently you have to copy a profile into the user space.

;( hoping this feature will be implemented soon. Thanks for the support...
