I have an odd issue, and definitely not a common one since I'm not finding anything about it. I ran Compression for several thousand PDFs at a DPI of 144 and Image Quality of 100, and it worked fine for 99.9% of them.
However, the last 0.1% seem to have a black overlay over the page at 95% opacity. You can squint and make out the form behind it, but it's no longer usable.
Has anyone encountered something like this, and aside from restoring a backup, found a way to fix this? I'd upload one of the files as an example, but they're financial documents and it's difficult to redact information when they're in this form.
