    Hello,

How do I link the two registry keys that configure a printer to a profile named LIW_PDF24?

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PDF24\Profiles\fo\LIW_PDF24

    and

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PDF24\Services\XSPDP92ZBU

    How do I find XSPDP92ZBU from LIW_PDF24?

    Thank you

    Hello,

sorry for the late reply. The link goes from the printer to the profile, not the other way round:

    • SOFTWARE\PDF24\Services\<ID> (e.g. XSPDP92ZBU) is the entry of one PDF printer. In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE it contains the value Port, the port of this printer in Windows (see https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#61-ports). That is how you find out which entry belongs to which printer.
    • The settings of the printer are stored under the same ID, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or, if they were saved without administrator rights, as user settings in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Values in HKEY_CURRENT_USER override those in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, unless the administrator has switched off Users can override settings.
    • The value AutoSaveProfile there names the profile used for Auto Save. For your own profile it is user/LIW_PDF24, which refers to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PDF24\Profiles\fo\LIW_PDF24. Profiles under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE are written as all/<name>, the built-in profiles as default/<name>.

So to find the printer that uses LIW_PDF24, look for the Services entry whose AutoSaveProfile is user/LIW_PDF24, and then compare its Port with the ports of your printers.

The easier way is in the PDF24 settings: PDF Printer, select the printer, choose Automatically save documents after printed and select your profile under Profile.
