PDF24 creator doesn't show the pdf and I can't find it

Hi. I am using PDF24 Creator version 2.9.0
When I print to PDF then PDF24 Assistant pops up like normal. But I click "show PDF" and get the movie of a file moving across ... then nothing. No PDF is shown.

I search for PDF files on my computer and there are no relevant new files.

What is wrong? I am using Windows XP and PDF24 has worked well in the past.

Does the preview work? If so then there is maybe a problem with your default PDF viewer.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled.
There is still no pdf shown.
I used to have no problems at all, and now this??!
Any ideas at all?

Please update to the latest version of the application. That should solve the problem.

Ihad already updated to 2.9.7 and no change. Now I have updated to 2.9.9

I use PDF24 on another computer. It works fine.

It puts files, for instance, in

C:\Documents and Settings\pc\Local Settings\Temp\pdf24

pdf243520784874_934592689_0
pdf243520784874_934592689_0.ps  (disappears after PDF24 Assistant is closed)

It also is version 2.9.9

Both versions share the following settings:

N – Close assistant after file save

But I can't find the files anywhere on my other machine.

Normally PDF24 removes all files which are used temporarily after the application closes.
I have check that today and on my pc no temp file exists after the application is closed.
Is the behaviour different on your pc?

I was showing the files one one machine to demonstrate the difference between the machines.

The first machine is OK. The temp file is just temp. I can view the file in PDF24

The problem is with the other machine. PDF24 is set up exactly the same but there are no files, not even temporary files while PDF24 is still open.

Are there any further ideas about this or shall we give up on the problem?
