Tray icon no longer shown after update to PDF24 11.7

With an update from 11.6 to 11.7, the PDF24 tray icon is no longer appearing.  The app does appear to be running in the background. Reverting to 11.6 fixed the problem.

OS is Windows 11.6.  Installed using the .msi installer

Have you tried to upadate your pdf24 version to 11.18?

version 11.7 is quite old, so please install the current version first: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/creator

If the tray icon is still missing after that, please check the following:

• In the PDF24 settings, the checkbox in the section "Tray Icon" must be enabled. Administrators can also hide the icon with the registry value NoTrayIcon, which is worth checking with MSI deployments: https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#41-common-registry-settings
• The icon is shown by pdf24.exe, which is started by the PDF24 autostart entry. If the autostart entry is disabled (for example in the Task Manager), the icon only appears once something is printed on the PDF printer: https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#132-how-to-stopremove-the-pdf24-autostart-entry
• In Windows 11 the icon may also be in the hidden icons area (the arrow next to the clock in the taskbar).
