The silent install does not function properly on windows 7 (32-bit).
At the end of the installation a dialog is presented asking the following:

Would you like to install this device software?

Then i have to manually click on "Install" to have the driver installed.
Apparently the PDF 24 printer driver is not trusted and that makes it break the silent install.

Is it possible for this problem to be solved?
Or is there a workaround available?

I would like an option to disable update checking aswell. The thing is that if you are a user with no administrator rights, which applies mostly to users in a corporate environment, then those users are not even able to install any updates. Only their administrator should be notified in that case.

Also, is it not possible to make the update checking silent, so to not show a dialog?

Terific pdf writer b.t.w, love the merging feature! 😀
