Great progra. Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a masterpiece.
Have Windows 10.
Is there a way to stop PDF24 backend from running / being shown in task manager?
I did not see it in Task Scheduler and I do indeed have PDF24 backend disabled in startup.
Thanks so much
Sincerely
Peter
No, because without the backend, the PDF printer will not work. You can disable the autostart manually by removing the registry key, but then, as I said, the PDF printer will not work and you have to restart the backend or one of the frontent applications of PDF24
You can stop it via the PDF24 Tray Icon or you could disable the corresponding auto start entry in the Windows registry:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
Delete the PDF24 entry there.
However, the PDF24 Windows Service must remain, otherwise the PDF printer will no longer run.
