PDF24 is really a wonderful set of tools. Unfortunately, I had no luck with the secure PDF online. I uploaded, entered a password and unchecked permissions so the doc is not copied or printed etc. Is it a problem that it is a 295pp dissertation? Thank you for your help and your fine programs.
The third time was the charm, or your ghostly presence in the process! It worked. Thank you so much.
I did try that too Stefan with no luck. I assume that it is right to uncheck the boxes to restrict the permissions. If it is working, I assume that it would not be possible to copy or print? In every case, I have still been able to do that, but I will try again.
The password to open the PDF is optional. Just just do the security settings changes and create your secured PDF. Then the relevant options should not be useable in PDF readers.
Thank you for your swift response Stefan. There was no error message. The process seemed to go through successfully, but after I downloaded, I checked and once the password was entered, I was still able to copy and print the document. I don't really need the password but I entered one anyway and unchecked all of the permissions. My goal is to share the dissertation without it being copied or printed. Thank you again for your help and your great and well-presented programs!

The number of pages is not relevant for our tool. Did you get an error that could help me to tell you what the problem was?
