In settings, you can enable auto save option for a pdf printer so save a print without user interaction.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, I think not, because you should check the result after the OCR run. Deleting the original file would be a problem then.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send screenshots to forum@pdf24.org so that we can see what you mean.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterInstall the latest PDF24 Creator. Start the toolbox with the new desktop icon. Then click the Edit PDF tool.

2022-09-30 at 07:10 in reply to: Existing bookmarks removed when combining files in PDF24 Creator 11.3 #62887Stefan ZieglerKeymasterChange a Windows registry setting, set
mergePdfsProvider=gshttps://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#41-common-registry-settings
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, *.pdf is not supported by PDF24. You could use this:
"C:\Program Files\PDF24\pdf24-DocTool.exe" -join -sort -profile noneĀ -expandDirs -outputFile "C:\Users\Valter\Desktop\docto\PDF1\binder.pdf" "C:\Users\Valter\Desktop\docto\PDF0"
2022-09-28 at 14:46 in reply to: Bookmarks lost when merging PDFs in Organize PDFs after update #62882Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCurrently this happens when if you do not simply join whole files. Please have a look at the manual and set mergePdfsProvider=gs in the Windows registry. This will also keep bookmarks when you combine single pages. Please check the result afterwards, because in gs mode there can be font problems in the final PDF.
We have that issue in TODO and we will improve here to also support bookmarks when combining single pages.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIf a current version is installed, then you can disable the autostart. How to do that is described here:
https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#122-how-to-stopremove-the-pdf24-autostart-entry
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send me this file to forum@pdf24.org so that I can test this. Please also submit a screenshot so that I can see what you have added to the document. I'll then try to reproduce this behavior.
2022-09-26 at 07:23 in reply to: How to scroll multi-line text in a form field in PDF24 Reader? #62870Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, please send me a sample file to forum@pdf24.org so that I can check that behavior.
2022-09-14 at 09:08 in reply to: Is there a way to disable PDF24 backend from running on Windows 10 startup? #62859Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYou can stop it via the PDF24 Tray Icon or you could disable the corresponding auto start entry in the Windows registry:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
Delete the PDF24 entry there.
However, the PDF24 Windows Service must remain, otherwise the PDF printer will no longer run.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCan you open http://www.pdf24.org or tools.pdf24.org in your bowser?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe blacken PDF Tool renders modified pages to an image and embeds that image back into the PDF. The quality decreases by this step but the page should still be readable. Can you send me a screenshot or the PDF files to forum@pdf24.org so that I can have a look?
2022-09-08 at 08:53 in reply to: Preserving Hyperlinks when converting Office Documents with PDF24 Creator #62837Stefan ZieglerKeymasterOffice documents are currently printed on the PDF printer in order to convert the file to PDF. Via this interface, all the metadata such as Hyperlinks are lost. We have two option on our TODO list which targets this issue and we work on that. For know, you can try our Online PDF Converter, here we do not print and here we can keep the hyperlinks.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasteryes, that is not possible, because the print job is on the server and not on the client and normally only the server has installed the pdf24 app and the client only has the shared printer.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIf a PDF printer is shared and used by clients, then using dialogs will not work. he only thing that works here is to use the auto save feature for a pdf printer to save the file into a special folder where the client user has access to.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasteryes, $owner stores the user name (owner of the print job). In case of shared printers, I currently do not know whether Windows keeps the original user name or whether Windows assigns a new one when the print job is transmitted to the receiving machine.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterLatest version 11.4.0 added Ctrl + W to close tabs.
