Just add the following to the command line:
-profile none
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe OCR Tool is able to do that.
2023-01-18 at 09:07 in reply to: Install PDF24 without WebView2 (use the WebView2 Evergreen Runtime) #63049Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, yes, there is a command line option now to do this. The latest installers provide such a flag:
EXE:
pdf24-creator.exe /COMPONENTS=!webview2MSI:
msiexec /i pdf24-creator.msi REMOVE=WebView2
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSimply use the DOWNLOAD Button.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, currently there is no flag to do that. I also would not recommend that because the PDF printer is used internally to convert files to PDF and removing/not installing the printer would mean that these functions will no longer work.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCreate different PDFs and then use the merge tool to add/merge/insert the pages of the documents. Merging does not change contents of pages.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterTo hide the tile in the toolbox, you have to add the following DWORD value to HKLM\SOFTWARE\PDF24 or HKCU\SOFTWARE\PDF24:
feature.toolbox.openOnlinePdfTools = 0
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSimply use the split PDF tool which can split pages in two halves and add the halves as separate pages. Load the PDF, choose the right mode and start the process.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe windows printer queue is one step ahead of PDF24. If the user is not correct here, then you have to look for the problem when printing....
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterOwner of the print JOB is SYSTEM which is a special account in windows. This is not a real user account and PDF24 is unable to submit the print job to the right user. Therefore PDF24 can not handle it. It is important, that the USER of the print job is a real user so that PDF24 can submit the job the that user.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI looked in the code and expanded the appropriate area so that PDF24 Reader is brought to the front whenever a new file is opened in Reader. Next version of the software brings this optimization.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterDoes this happen when you open the first file or when you open the second, third, ... ?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterStefan ZieglerKeymasterRight-click the tab and click Open in new window
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterDo you have installed a TWAIN driver for that device? This is required in oder to import from such devices.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWhat do you mean by this? Please send test files, screenshots and short instructions to forum@pdf24.org so that we can check this.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterA solution would be an additional dll file for 32-bit apps that loads the preview. Currently we do not have one, but we have such a point on our TODO list so that we will provide one with one of the next versions.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCan you send me some screenshots to forum@pdf24.org so that I can see the problem?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWhich version of PDF24 Creator do you have installed? Latest PDF24 Creator brings an embeddable previewer in in my outlook it works fine. A problem could be that this currently only works if outlook x64 is installed. If you use the x86 version, than the previewer can not be embedded because we currently have no matching x82 dll file for the embedding part. x86 dll for our x64 Creator build is on our TODO.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe -deleteFiles flag can be used only if the files are temporary. Other files must be deleted by the user himself after the command by another command.
2022-11-10 at 11:05 in reply to: PDF24 DocTool: process only PDF files with -expandDirsRecursive #62975Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, currently this is not possible. I've put this on TODO so that we will brings that in one of the next versions.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSeems that the Windows print dialog is limited here because currently I do not see an option how to setup the dialog differently. I'll put this on TODO so that we will have a deeper look at that.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWhich version of the software do you use? Please send a screenshot of the color picker to forum@pdf24.org
2022-10-26 at 13:18 in reply to: PDF24 background process pdf24.exe locks folder after joining PDFs #62954Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYes, we use Windows 10 and we also test under Windows 11.
2022-10-26 at 12:32 in reply to: PDF24 background process pdf24.exe locks folder after joining PDFs #62952Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI'm still trying to reproduce this.
- I have a test folder and I copy/paste two PDFs into that folder.
- Then I select both PDFs in that folder, right-click one file and click PDF24 to open the file tools.
- Then I click the Join function and in the output profile selection window I choose the just assemble profile to simply join both files.
- Then I save the new PDF into another folder.
- After that, I rename the test folder and that works for me. No error message pops up and the folder is renamed.
Do you do something different?
2022-10-26 at 12:03 in reply to: PDF24 background process pdf24.exe locks folder after joining PDFs #62950Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI'm wondering why the background process is getting the files since the files are PDFs and don't need to be converted. Hmm. Is there a reason why do you use an older PDF24 version and not the current one?
2022-10-26 at 09:43 in reply to: PDF24 background process pdf24.exe locks folder after joining PDFs #62948Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI was just trying to figure it out. But I didn't succeed. Can you tell me which PDF24 process is blocking the files?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIf the page number is not added to the pages or is not visible, then please submit a test file and your settings (screenshot) to forum@pdf24.org so that we can investigate further.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe offset option adds the number to the actual page number that would normally be printed on the page. If the page number to print is 3 and offset is 5, then the printed number is 8.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNewer versions have the offset option in the toolbox which can be used for that.
