Generally, PDF24 can convert any file into a PDF, provided there is a program registered on the system capable of printing that file to the PDF24 PDF printer. This allows any printable file to be converted into a PDF. PDF24 can process some file types directly, without requiring a print operation. For DOCX files, conversion typically relies on COM, which only works if Microsoft Word is installed.

The online version of the PDF-to-Excel converter has been updated. Its behavior now differs slightly from before. The PDF-to-Word converter has also been modified.
The detection and conversion of many PDFs is already better than it was previously. While the results for many files have improved, some have deteriorated.
Both converters are currently undergoing an optimization phase, and they are improving day by day.
You are welcome to send test files to forum@pdf24.org. We would use these files during the optimization phase to improve their conversion results.

XXXXXX is the name of a profile that you have added.

Assigns the value YYYYYYYY to the key pdf-watermarkText.
In order to add a watermark to a file via -applyProfile, you have to enable the watermark function in the profile. If it's not enabled, then no watermark is added.
Try to change Assistant settings or try to remove Assistant related settings in Windows registry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PDF24

This is BT-29. According to the standard, there is no schemeId attribute here. So, you habe to use <ram:GlobalID schemeID="0002"> instead because only GlobalID has the schemeID attribute. You can add multiple globals Ids if this is required.
Try to install he 9.x version under WINE. I have heard that this works for some users. 11.x version uses Webview2 and this seems to be problematic under WINE.
The default open mode can be configured in the settings on the pdf reader page.

The autostart is controlled by the Windows registry. The installer adds an entry here:
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Look for the PDF24 entry.
Why is this entry needed?
This autostart entry creates a pdf24.exe instance for the user. This instance is required for the PDF printer in order to receive and process print jobs from the PDF printer.
There is also a Window service installed that also uses a pdf24.exe instance. This PDF24 Windows service is also required for the PDF printer. The service receives a print job from the PDF printer and identifies the user who printed it. The print data is then transferred to the user's corresponding pdf24.exe instance. There, the print data is processed, and usually the PDF24 Assistant opens, allowing the user to, for example, save the PDF.
So, if you want to stop the pdf24.exe user process, delete the following Windows Registry value:
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\PDF24If you want to stop the pdf24.exe Windows service process, stop the corresponding Windows service named PDF24. If you stop the service, then the PDF printer will no longer work. Print jobs are then stuck in the print spooler. You then have to start the service manually to make the PDF printer work again.
Please send the PDF file and a screenshot of your settings to forum@pdf24.org so that I can check this issue. If the PDF file is larger then 5 MB, please upload the file to e.g. Google Drive and send the download link together with the screenshot of the settings.
This feature is already available there, this is an option of the Split Tool. Just open the split tool, load your PDF file and choose the "Halve pages" option there.
There is an issue with the electronic signature feature in the current version. I have analyzed it today and I have found the reason for this. A fix is implemented and the next version make it possible again to add working electronic signatures. The next version will be released in about 2-3 weeks.
Please send a test file and instructions to forum@pdf24.org, then I'll check the internal behavior and I'll provide a fix if this is truly the case.

Click on a field in the pdf form editor, click CTRL+C and then CTRL+V. This copies the field and adds it as a new field to the form.
BT30 is present in the generated XML file.
BT23 is now visible in the form.
BT41, BT43, BT42 are often mandatory, so it is advisable to use these fields.
Action script and so on is nothing PDF24 specific, its part of the PDF spec, so I think there should be information ion the internet.
