The MAPI error means that there is probably no suitable email program installed that implements MAPI so that PDF24 can communicate with it. If you have Outlook installed, please try switching to the Outlook interface in the settings.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSeems that there is a problem with the file itself..
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send the file that is not working and the command line you are using to forum@pdf24.org and we will investigate the problem.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterDepends in the system and the file. We have not built in any limitations. Is there an error message?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterOpen the PDF file with PDF24 Reader. Then select text with your mouse. Right-click the selected text and choose the highlight tool there.

Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCTRL+F ist the right shortcut.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, please read this:
https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#11118-compress-pdf-files
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, please send me a download ling to the file to forum@pdf24.org so that I can check what happens internally. This sounds like an issue we would like to fix.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease send the input files, output file and a screenshot of your settings to forum@pdf24.org so that I can check that issue.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe last option in the image is what you are looking for.
"Theme of the reader"
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe difference could be the PDF creation mode. In older versions we used the PDF printer to print the Word file to a PDF file. Newer versions use the export function of Word. You can change the mode in the settings area in the "Preferred Methods" page.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPDF24 Reader has been given a dark mode in version 11.21.0.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterOpening the UI and loading a file is possible:
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterJust use the the profile manager and there use the function at the bottom to save as a new profile. User profiles are then available via the user/ prefix e.g. "user/XXXX".
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterUse the -outputFile FILE, -noProgress and -profile switches, depending on the command switch, which is curently not in the command above. Please read this:
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, what do you mean by that? Which PDF24 Tool do you mean? PDF24 Reader has vertical scrolling.
2024-11-04 at 08:37 in reply to: PDF/A conversion fails in desktop app, custom options online? #63703Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNext version of PDF24 Creator is on the way and will be released in a few days. This version brings improvements regarding PDF/A generation. The online tools usually get the latest developments quite quickly, the PDF24 Creator always only with the next version.
2024-10-23 at 07:44 in reply to: Hide the PDF24 Creator assistant when printing from Siemens WinCC #63692Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYou can configure the PDF printer so that it saved automatically. Then this UI would not pop up. I think it's a good advice to install a new PDF printer for that because here and there the default PDF printer is used internally for conversion to PDF. You can add a new PDF printer via the settings UI.
2024-10-21 at 07:22 in reply to: Convert n-up PDF (several pages per sheet) back to single pages #63690Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI think you can use the Split PDF tool and there use the halven pages mode. This splits the pages in the middle.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterSeems that you have associated the file type with one of the PDF24 apps. You can change that via the open with context menu entry or via the default apps sections in Windows settings.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHmm, can you find out what the difference is?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHmm, I think we can do much in that case, if the OS is signaling, that the file is in use, then PDF24 can't write to that file. Can your colleges write to that shared file?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHello, this cannot be undone. If you could undo it, it would not be secure.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWe don't know whether we are violating any rights outside the EU. That's why our lawyer said we should include this clause. This clause is for our protection. For example, we don't want to be sued by patent trolls outside the EU.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWe have decided not to update the store as PDF24 Creator 11.20.0 is on its way and will be released soon. As soon as the new version is published, we will bring that one into the Windows store.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe file has a wrong file extension. It's actually a PNG file and not a JPEG file. If you rename the file it works well.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI'll check that.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterActually it should be available. The handler file for x86 on a 64 bit system is PdfPreviewHandler.x86.dll which should be available in the pdf24 install directory. On an x86 windows system, then handler file is named PdfPreviewHandler.dll.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI think you can use a command/script that copies the file to the relevant directories. The printer settings have such a config option.
