Which language files did you select?
Language files are downloaded from the internet if you do not have them installed locally, so for the download, an internet connection is required.

Which PDF24 Creator version do you use? If you do not use the latest version 11.26.1, then please update the software as we have fixed some bugs that could be the cause.
2025-06-04 at 11:52 in reply to: Added a new font to my system but is not recognized by PDF24 Creator #63938Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIs the font available in the font select box? Which then means that the font is not used in the pdf file?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, try this PDF to Word tool:
https://tools.pdf24.org/en/pdf-to-word
Then edit the file in Word and export as PDF.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI would say that you should restart Windows. Seems that there is a blocking process...
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWhat do you mean by bigger? Please send screenshots and test files to forum@pdf24.org so that we can check this.
2025-05-13 at 12:51 in reply to: Delete a single embedded image or object then save edited PDF #63921Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, I have added such a function to PDF24 Reader, but at the moment I am not allowed to publish such functions because legal aspects have to be clarified.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIf you want to fill out a form directly in your Browser, just use this tool: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/fill-pdf
Alternatively, you can use PDF24 Reader of the PDF24 Toolbox, to fill out a PDF offline.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPDF24 Reader must be your default file reader. You must therefore set PDF24 Reader as your default PDF app in Windows Settings. Or right-click on a PDF, select Open with..., select PDF24 Reader, and check the Always open with PDF24 Reader box.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPDF bookmarks can be edited and new bookmarks can be added with the following PDF24 tool.

This tool will be provided as an offline version with the upcoming version of PDF24 Creator.

Stefan ZieglerKeymasterActually this should work, as you can read here:
https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#1115-join-input-files-and-create-an-output-pdf-fileThe switch -bookmarks create should add bookmarks to the pdf file based on file names.

2025-04-28 at 12:24 in reply to: Annotate PDF: Tahoma Bold and other fonts missing in the font list #63898Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, I've checked that. You are right, the bold and italic style buttons are not available here. This will be fixed with the next version. But there is also a solution to your problem. Just use the "Edit PDF" tool instead. There are bold and italic buttons. The reason for this problem is that we recently made a change to the fonts, but the bold and italic buttons in the annotation tool were forgotten to be activated.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis is really a problem with the current version. After an in-depth analysis carried out today, a problem has been identified in the current version of PDF24 Creator. It is not possible to work around this in the current version, as far as I can see. I have to develop a fix for this and then create a new version of the software. The problem should be fixed in a new version by the beginning of next week at the latest.
2025-04-09 at 14:56 in reply to: PDF printer: save the PDF in the folder of the source document #63875Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI think it is already done this way, but the file folder is often not available because it is usually not sent via the printer interface.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThere are several ways you can open the edit tool in the toolbox:
- Right-Click the PDF file, choose PDF24 and then click the toolbox tile.
- If you have the PDF24 Shell DLL installed, Right-Click the PDF file and choose Open-With->Toolbox
- Open the file in PDF24 Reader, click the forward icon in the toolbar and choose toolbox.
- Add context menu entry via Windows Registry and use the command: pdf24-Toolbox.exe -verb edit "%s"
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCan you send a screencast do forum@pdf24.org so that we can see the problem? Actually, scrolling should be smooth
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPlease read this:
https://creator.pdf24.org/manual/11/#11118-compress-pdf-files
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterBut the .pdf is not in the french format factur'x, what do you mean by this? The command above just embeds the xml file into the PDF file. The embedded file name is defined by the output type.
-outputType zugferd:xrechnung: file name is xrechnung.xml
-outputType zugferd:en16931: file name is factur-x.xml-outputType zugferd is equivalent to zugferd:xrechnung
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis is probably because -outputType must be used, i.e. with a capital T. Otherwise send me in.xml and in.pdf so that I can test this case.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterPDF24 Creator Toolbox can do this: Command line description
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterTo remove a highlight, just right-click the highlighted text and choose Annotation->Delete or Highlight->None. We also know, that annotating PDFs can be improved. We already have some features on our TODO-List to make it easier and to bring more annotation tools. You are also welcome to make suggestions. We will add everything to our TODO list and then see when and how this can be implemented.
Stefan ZieglerKeymaster- You can right click on a tab and then you can open a PDF in an extra window.
- You can also drag and drop a tab out of the PDF24 Reader frame to open the tab in a separate window.
- You can change the settings and untick "Open in existing instance" checkbox.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterDo you mean actions after printing to the PDF printer?
You can only configure one command. However, you can store a batch file, a script, or whatever, which then does all the things you want. However, you have to create the batch file or script yourself; that's outside of what PDF24 provides. At this point, PDF24 only offers the option of executing a command after a file has been created using the PDF printer.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWurde das Installieren von Windows Services auf dem System gesperrt? In der obigen Meldung geht es um die Installation des PDF24 Windows Services für die PDF Drucker.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI think this is a focus issue. Open a file, click on a page and then press CTRL+P. We need to look at why CTRL+P does not work without a previous click.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterWe haven't built in any real limitations. But error will happen at some point, because the processing systems are limited. I can't say exactly where that is, it always depends a bit on the current system state.
2025-02-10 at 08:56 in reply to: Watermark: tile over the whole page, preview and several watermarks #63806Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, thanks, we have such a request on our TODO list and we will bring that feature in the near future.
