Why not simply print the page on the PDF printer?

Which PDF24 version do you have installed? Please try the latest version if you use a version older than 7.6.4.

    Hi,

two other users have reported the same issue but we currently don't know what the problem is. One of the users could solve the issue. He had two graphic cards activated and after he had disabled one of them the problem was fixed.

We monitor that issue and we hope that we will find a fix for that rarely occurring bug.

Currently not. You could use a login script or something else to set these settings in the registry of the users profile at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/PDFPrint

The problem can be the X86 X64 mismatch. PDF24 is X86 and and it can be that you mail program does not install an x86 version of the MAPI.dll file, so that the PDF24 Creator can't load that dll.

You could for instance install Thunderbird (it's free) and that should work together with PDF24. If thunderbird x64 does not work then you can try Thunderbird x86.

The PDF24 Creator creates new documents and does not alter existing ones. By default, all security settings are disabled. When you save, you can apply security settings to the new document by altering the property pages when you save.

    Hi,

you can disable the online converter via the user profile of the pdf24 creator. The user settings are located in the registry under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/PDFPrint"

Add the DWORD value "NoOnlineConverter" = 1

This will deactivate the online converter for that user. You can use a login script or something like that to set that value for each user.

This format is now on our TODO list so that we will consider your point for the further development of the PDF24 Creator.

You can eenable the autosave feature and after that you can add a shell command which opens the file.

There you can find the available setup arguments to tell the installer your settings.

    Hi,

the config is stored in the registry under the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/PDFPrint. You can export and import these settings.

Try to open the Creator first and print then. Does that work? If so then it seems to be that the pdf24.exe ist not running which is required for the pdf printer. If the pdf24.exe is not running then all print requests remains in the printer task queue. Is the pdf24.exe running? You can check that witth the task manager.

    Hi,

we have seen some problems with the import tool on some system. We currently do not understand why that happens, but we try to fix that issue. We have a point on plan to switch to another solution to make the import more robust, but that point will take some time to be finished.

As an altrnative you can import images from your scanner by using he software delivered with your scanner and then you can use the PDF24 Creator to create a PDF files from that image.

That's some steps more than actually required, but that should be a solution that should work.

What is the bug? After clicking the mail button PDF24 sends some information to the start mail application (e.g. outlook) and the standard mail app does the rest. I use outlook to and for me it works fine.

Try to remove your user profile in the registry under the following path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/PDFPrint

Export the profile first so that you have a backup. If that solves your problem please send us the export to forum@pdf24.org so that we have a chance to fix that bug.

You can use regedit to export and delete your profile.

The new PDF24 Creator installs you a new PDF compression tool named PDF24 Compress. You can use that tool to compress PDF files.

Open that tool, add your PDF files, adjust the settings and calculate the resulting file size. Save the compressed file if the size is acceptable.

Seems too me that the pdf24.exe is not running. This process is required in order to handle the print jobs. If you stop that service, the windows print spooler will show an error.

That is the internal viewer. The viewer can only save the current page as an image file.

If you want a PDF use the PDF24 Creator. Open the file there. Drag & Drop a page down into the dark area. Save that new single page file as PDF.

Disable the auto page rotation when within the save as dialog. Then the user page rotation should be applied.

Hi use the design creator on pdf24.org or simply copy a logo.bmp file of the size 200X330 into the install folder.

in reply to: How many PDF files you can join??? #1726

We do not have implemented a limit, but there is normally a limit because of system or OS resources. If that large number of files does not work at once, try to join less files per document and then join these created files to one final file.

Our online PDF file joiner should not be used with a very high number of files, because it could take a lot of time to send all the files to the processing server. If you have to process a lot of files, then the PDF24 Creator is the better solution.

Have have also implemented special handling a high number of files. This is implemented in newer versions of the software.

Yes, everything what's under HKEY_Current_User is a per use setting. HKEY_Current_User refers to the current active user.
