Hi,
the currently released PDF24 Creator 7.0.7 should solve the issue with pinned folders under Windows 10.
pdf24MemberNormally there is no popup. Do you really get a popop? Can you send me a screen shot to forum@pdf24.org. You could also try to update to the latest version.
pdf24MemberHi,
please send me some test files and short instructions so that I can try to reproduce the problem on our test machine. If we can reproduce it then we will try to fix it.
You can send the files to forum@pdf24.org
pdf24MemberHi,
we know the problem and we try to fix it. Currently we do not know why that happens. We have tested with our test systems and no one shows that behaviour.
There are some other users who have reported the same issue. We hope that we will find the bug soon.
pdf24MemberIs the pdf24.exe running? Check your task manager and look for the pdf24.exe task. If you can't find that task, start the creator which also starts the pdf24.exe. The pdf24.exe is responsible for consuming the print jobs, to redirect them to the user and to open a handler application.
pdf24MemberSeems to be a false positive. The app and the installer is really clean if you download from pdf24.org sites.
pdf24MemberHard to say, is a thing which have to be debugged but we do not have such a device here in the office..
pdf24MemberCheck the folder, check whether files/folders can be created inside that folder. Could be wrong rights or a missing temp folder.
pdf24Memberappend and prepend options will be available through a PDF profile
pdf24MemberUse the auto save feature of the PDF printer. You can enable it in the settings pages. Then you can save automatically.
pdf24MemberHi,
you normally need to install the PF24 Creator and then you have to print something on the PDF24 PDF printer. That's all. After you have printed, the PDF24 Assistant should open where you can do something with the new file.
pdf24MemberShould normally work. You could send me the printer install log files to forum@pdf24.org and then I can see what's going wrong. The text files are in the pdf24 install directory (pdfPrnInst...).
pdf24MemberTry to create a new PDF files by printing it on the PDF printer first. Sometimes there could be issues if a file was not created by the PDF printer. This often helps in cases of errors.
pdf24MemberHi, we work on such features, but could still take a few weeks until we have that feature stable.
pdf24MemberHi,
use the digital paper feature of the application. Create a paper file and use that as paper to combine that with your printout. Use the Save as dialog to add the paper file, make a profile if you do not want to configure all again and then save.
pdf24MemberHi,
could you please send your file to forum@pdf24.org? When I download the file from the page you have posted then I get an empty file.
Thank you.
pdf24MemberHi,
no, that is still not possible. You can do that only by hand.
pdf24MemberIf AutoRatePages is enabled then the pages will be rotated so that text is readable without rotating the pages. This is normally enabled so that you can simply save the file and the orientation is OK.
pdf24MemberHi,
this point is still on our TODO.
pdf24MemberOf curse, if you remove the autostart entry then the background process will not be started at the next restart, but if you do that then you your PDF printer will no longer work.
Sometimes we get mails from users who say that the PDF printer does not work and a lot of that users have deactivated the pdf24.exe.
pdf24MemberPDF24 Editor is now PDF24 Creator.
pdf24MemberOk. The PDF file format itself is not very good to open the file for editing. A PDF file is really good for viewing, a exchange format which can be opened everywhere and which looks similar on each PC, but the information inside a PDF file is not really good for an editor. Opening a PDF file in an editor would often be very inaccurate. Word and other text applications do a much better job here.
It's always a good choice to have an application for editing. Always export a PDF file if you want to share your file.
pdf24MemberHi,
it's really hard to say why that happens on you PC. Normally the uninstaller does a great job and does not have that problems and it is also the first time that someone reported such a problem.
If the uninstaller stops at the end of the process then it could be that most of the parts are fully removed. You can check your install path what file are remaining and you could remove that files by hand.
Hope that helps.
pdf24MemberHmm yes, I can't see anything except the initial info stuff. Can you use the PDF printer or can you print a file on the PDF24 PDF printer in order to see whether that part works?
If that works, try too save that printed file. If that doesn't work open the console before you save and send us the output.
pdf24MemberHi,
if the user wants to use a component of the software which is not free, then he has to explicitly agree to it. Furthermore we would have to ask for some more information we would need from that user (payment and such things).
The European Union point is for our safety because we don't know exactly whether we violate legal rights outside the EU. That very difficult to find out for every country.
We do not take any actions against users outside the EU.
pdf24MemberCan you send that magic file to forum@pdf24.org so that we can check that file?
pdf24MemberHmm, current we do not know what that problem is.
pdf24MemberWould indeed be a nice feature. We now have that point on our list, but I have to say that this feature is a little bit harder to implement so that it will not be available within the next few weeks.
pdf24MemberThank for your contribution.
pdf24MemberHi, what exactly do you mean by editable? Do you mean the security settings which can be applied to a document?
