Ich denke Sie müssten eine Version < als 8.7.0 installieren, denn in Version 8.7.0 wurde der Windows XP Support eingestellt. Auf unserer Download-Seite gibt es einen Link zum Download von älteren Versionen.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, currently not. I have added this feature request to our list.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterNo, currently we do not have a preflight function. Maybe in the near future if this is helpful for people.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI think you are in the Creator? There you can not skip the profile selection step, because the user has the tell the software how to save the file. Within the PDF printer assistant it's a bit different because there is a profile selection box at the top and here no special profile selection popup is required.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, you can do this with our Edit PDF Tool. There you can import an image and you can add the image to a specific page.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis issue is still open on our side, but we do not know, why that happens. This is really weird because we do not change this actively, only temporarily if this is required to convert files to PDF with the PDF printer. There are some discussions here in the forum, especially in the German version, but this problem is not solved, because it seems, that this problem is not on our site. Some admins reported, that Windows itself is doing some weird things under special conditions and changes the printer. If anybody of you can send me a reproducible instruction so that I can reproduce the change on my site, then I can investigate further. Hope you can?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, can you tell me a bit more about that? Which service do you use? Where do you get the message?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI did a little research on the 100 files problem and it seems that Windows has built in this limit. The work around via the folder context is this solution here.
The issue with the long path names will be analysed to.
An improvement for the Creator is implemented so that the Creator can handle a hundreds of files again. The new version with the fix will be releases this week.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThe name and directory of the file are determined from the name of the print job. Therefore, you can set the job name to a full file path name to tell the PDF printer the name and folder of the file. PDF24 then extracts it and makes it available in the placeholders.
Print jobs can be monitored in windows. The Windows API gives you access to the printer task queue and and you can read the jobs and the state.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis can be if the file is not correct. Simply click OK, if the file is not password protected. This often works because the next tool can maybe handle this PDF.
You can suppress this message if you set the following property in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PDFPrint
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PDFPrintignorePdfUnlockFailed [DWORD] = 1
So you have to set the ignorePdfUnlockFailed option to 1 in the registry under one of the above paths. Then the message is skipped.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThank you for reporting this is issue. We have fixed it now.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterAn alternative to use the Creator to merge all your files is to use the File Tools app. This app can handle far more files then the creator and is faster to load the files into the list because this app doesn't ave to to so much things under the hood.
- You can open the App via the Launcher (Desktop Icon) or right-click the folder, that contains all your files you want to merge and click PDF24 in the context menu.
- Then click the soft icon to bring your files into the right order.
- Then click the Merge Icon to combine all your files.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterCan you please test whether the conversion with the Creator works? Open the Creator via the Launcher and then drop your file into the right windows pane. This converts your file too. What happens here?
Does your PDF printer work? Please print the file on the PDF printer. Does this open a PDF24 Windows where you can handle the printed PDF?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, I've added a issue request to our internal list so that we will investigate this issue. Hope we can help you with your problem.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis is currently not possible. Currently the pdf page numbering tool can only add page numbers based on arabic numbers. I've added a feature request to our internal list so that we will provide an option to change to format.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterA mp3 file is an audio file and a PDF is a document file. Thus this file can not be converted. It could be attached to a PDF or it could be inserted as media, but a conversion is not possible.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterMaybe the PDF24 Windows Service that blocks. Try to stop this service with the Windows services UI. Or enter the task manager and kill all pdf24 processes.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, 100 pages should work. Please try our online PDF merger again. If you still have problem, then you should consider to use our offline application. This is the PDF24 Creator and the PDF merge of this software is really good to and the limitation there is your PC.
2019-08-24 at 10:23 in reply to: Print to PDF without showing the format and properties dialog #6163Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHow did you configure the PDF printer. Normally, when you print on the PDF printer, the PDF24 assistant opens and there you have a button to save as PDF. If you have selected a standard output profile via the selection box at the top of the app, then no format properties dialog pops up. The PDF is saved to disk and the save operation applies the profile options.
If you have selected the custom profile and if you click the save button, then the format options dialog is shown where you can change all the options.
You can also change the PDF printer settings in the settings area and there you have options for saving automatically. If a PDF printer is configured to save automatically, then no user interaction is is required at all.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, ensure, that the PDF24 Windows Service is running. If this service is stopped, then the PDF printer will not work and no print jobs will be redirected to the printing user. This is normally the cause, if the PDF printer fails to work.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYes, that is possible, but you should not use the the pdf24 compression tool here. This tool can not be used on the command line for now.
You should go into the output profiles dialog and there you should create a new profile that fits your needs. Change the DPI and image compression values. DPI of 144 is OK but you can set what you like. Our online PDF compression tool used these 144 DPI by default and this value is often good. Lower DPI values and lower JPG quality values results in smaller PDF files.
After you have create your profile, use the pdf24-doctool.exe. This tool has a command line interface and there you have to use the -applyProfile command. Use you newly created profile here. Read the command line description to get more information about it. Command line description can be printed by calling this tool without arguments.
There are also flags for output file name.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterYou can use the pdf24-docTool.exe
Run this app without arguments to get the command line description and then use the join command from this tool.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterIt would be nice if you could submit the script here so that others can use it.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, please read this article:
It's in German, but you can use a translator to translate this article. This gives you the instruction on how to configure the PDF24 in order to use offline language files for OCR.
2019-07-29 at 08:11 in reply to: Auto save: choose the save path at print time instead of the default #6119Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI would say that then it is better not to use the automatic save feature. You can go through the assistant and there you just have to click the save as PDF tile in the UI. This one click is the only difference then.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterI can not reproduce this behaviour. Please explain more detailed. You can also send screenshots and test files to forum@pdf24.org.
Do you use the latest version 9.0.0?
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterThis should normally be the case. If the Language option in the registry is not available, then pdf24 determines the language based on the OS language. If no matching element can be found, then English is used as fall-back.
Ensure, that you do not have set a language within the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PDFPrintpath of the registry. If there is an option, than this option is used if there is no language option in the users section below HKCU.Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHi, your command line is wrong. The -applyProfile and -convertTo can not be used together. Here is the command line ylu should use:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\PDF24\pdf24-doctool.exe" -applyProfile -profile "user/toimage" -noProgress -outputFile "N:\France\Prog\Finish.jpg" "N:\France\Prog\Start.pdf"Stefan ZieglerKeymasterHard to say wehre is SRV-TDM$ is coming from. Could you test a bit with a simpler config in order to find the real cause for your issue. TO me, it looks OK.
Stefan ZieglerKeymasterReason why formats A0 and A1 are not displayed
Please check if other PDF printers are or were installed. We have received a message that e.g. the installation of FreePDF affects the formats A0 and A1. In the PDF24 printer the formats A0 and A1 are also defined and should be available. If you install PDF24 on a system which did not have FreePDF installed before, then the formats should also be available. Please check if other PDF printers were installed before. This could be the reason why the formats are not available. -
